Head of Technologies and Services for Mobility AustriaTech
AustriaTech is the “Mobility Agency” of the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation & Technology and it follows a long-term strategy towards sustainable transport– and mobility services and solutions, like Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and e-mobility.
The federal company works in partnership with Austrian infrastructure operators, mobility service providers, and industry, as well as research facilities and public authorities.
Martin Böhm studied Geography at the University of Vienna and Traffic Telematics Management at the Danube University in Krems, Austria.
From 1996 to February 2006 he worked as a Senior Graphic Analyst at Navteq Austria Ltd.
In March 2006 he started at AustriaTech. Since January 2009 he is the Head of Unit Mobility Systems & ITS Deployment.
He is nominated expert for several European Platforms with regard to the implementation of the European ITS Directive. As the General Secretary of the C-Roads Platform he is aiming at harmonised and interoperable deployment of C-ITS services across Europe. Furthermore he is chair of the BigData working group within the World Road Association PIARC.
Martin Böhm is coordinator of several European initiatives in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems including research, development as well as deployment activities. Hereby the evolution of the mobility system based on general trends is one of his key interests. His main expertise is bringing research in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services to real deployments.
